Feedstocks for fuel production

Biomass residues used as manufacturing inputs to produce pellets and briquettes—not products offered for sale.

BBF-RM-01

Paddy straw, agricultural waste & cow dung

Seasonal crop residues and organic binders that can contribute structure and binding in blended fuel production.

Characterization

  • Paddy straw provides cellulose and hemicellulose structure in briquettes and pellets.
  • Mixed crop processing residues can contribute volatile burning characteristics.
  • Cow dung can assist binding when co-processed with straw (ratios depend on formulation).

Process relevance

  • Primary shredding of straw and dung cakes.
  • Hammer milling through 4–6 mm sieves.
  • Flash drying toward 10–12% moisture before extrusion.
Reference parameters from catalog dossier BBF-RM-01 (not finished fuel guarantees).
Gross calorific value (GCV)3,200 – 3,750 kcal/kg
Moisture (pre-dryer)25% – 45% (sun-cured <18%)
Moisture (pelletizing stage)10% – 12% controlled

Briquette finished density1,100 – 1,220 kg/m³

BBF-RM-02

Wood sawdust, timber chips & shavings

Wood residues with inherent lignin suitable for binderless densification.

  • Lignin softens under die heat for binding.
